"THE STONE ANGEL, starring Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn in a shared leading role with the exceptional Christine Horne." www.femaleeyefilmfestival.com
"Christine holds her own as the younger incarnation of protagonist Hagar Shipley, no small feat considering that the character is played in her ornery dotage by Ellen Burstyn." (Adam Nayman - Eye Magazine)
"As the young Hagar in The Stone Angel, Horne brings a burst of energy to a Canadian literary icon. Her vivid portrayal of the protagonist of Margaret Laurence's novel is no small achievement for a stage-trained lass who is entirely new to film. Can't wait to see her next performance, on the screen or on the stage." (Peter Howell - Toronto Star)
