CURRENT PROJECTS

/ The Kente Cloth /A new solo-show by Tawiah M'carthy. It's hours before his wedding and the Groom is grappling with whether to say “I do” as William Victor Osei- Pearson or Nana Oto Kwabena Adjei. A new multi-disciplinary play featured in this years SummerWorks Theatre Festival, August 2008.

/ SLIP / A short dance film shot in one-take exploring the intimacy and diversity of a women's pool locker room won Best Cinematography and Best Experimental Film at the CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival. Check out our award winning cinematographer's website for a demo of the film.

COMPANY HISTORY

Chelsea McMullan, Raha Shirazi (filmmakers) and Cole J. Alvis (theatre artist) first collaborated as Fine Arts students at York University. Hailing from diverse cultural and artistic backgrounds, they create new and innovative work by exploring lines between disciplines within the realm of inter-arts. Additionally, as each member is accomplished in their respective art form, upcoming work will include film, theatre and inter-arts projects in their established multi-art productions.

/ BLACK ICE / In Raha Shirazi's short dance film, Toronto step dance group Black Ice take over the courtyard of an inner city housing development, and transform the space into a vibrant scene. This film has screened at Dance on Screen, Slam Dance, Harbourfront Centre Film Festival in celebration of Black History Month and the Art Gallery of Halifax.

/ CHAT /Combines solo-audience participation, voyeurism and the ability to videoconference with individuals planted in various parts of the city funded by the Ontario Arts Council (OAC Integrated Arts).

/ Urban Emotions /An installation of one-shot shorts. One emotion. One shot. One minute. Urban Emotions examines private moments occurring in public spaces.
